Class of Boat: RS200
Nickname (and why?): Hannah calls me "Princess", check out her profile for why!
Why did you start sailing and where?: We used to go on family holidays on my grandfathers yacht, where I used to complain about it being boring, so my parents thought I should learn to sail dinghies so I might enjoy it more
Favourite UK or International sailing venue?: Can’t beat a Wednesday night sail at Island Barn, or coastal town sailing clubs like Looe or Tenby have a nice feel for a Nationals
Best sailing achievement so far?: Fairly proud of winning the Glyn Charles Memorial Pursuit race two years running, and 3rd at the 29er Europeans, but that was a few years back now!
What's your next sailing goal?: Top 5 at the RS200 Nationals
First sailing coach/mentor?: Mike Jones, persuaded me to apply for the zone squad and I went from there
ISAF Rules - Most influential racing rule and why?: I don’t know any numbers, but I hate a busy starboard layline, so I'm often seen risking it on the port lay! - MR VR Comment: 18.3b....dangerous game plan and obviously an adrenaline junkie!!
Funniest time on the water and where?: My older brother Josh enjoys telling this one: Josh and I two up in a Comet, sailing out of a narrow channel, we capsized, I started crying, told him I was scared, left him and swam to the shore!
Favourite VR Race Team kit and why?: The Gul Code Zero Long John is a cracking wetsuit, no bunching around your armpits
Top 3 Most Played iTunes tracks?: I’m a big fan of cheasy pop, currently Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe. Rihanna is also up there.
Favourite energy food – Haribo/Chocolate/Bacon Sarnie/Banana/Other?: Sam Littlejohn’s grandma's Toffee Tiffin, unbeatable.
Favourite sailing drink – Hot chocolate/Lucozade/Seawater/Mug of Tea/Other?: I can’t get started in the morning without tea
What do you get up to when you aren’t out on the water?: I play a lot of waterpolo in the winter, Feva Zone squad coaching as well
Highlight of the 2012 season?:
What are you most looking forward to in 2013?:
