The VR 420 girls race team are back from a fantastic week in Pwllheli at the Nationals.
We had some light and shifty weather at the start of the week with typical non-stop welsh rain, but before long we got the good ol' pwllheli wind and waves!! we progressed throughout the week with our results to get a 6th in one race and we finished up 22nd out of 48 boats. We were the 3rd Junior crew and 1st Junior girls overall which we are pretty pleased with, it being our first season in the 420!
Over the week we also got to dress up in some wacky outfits for the social events; fictional characters, tight and bright and a black tie dinner! All in all a brilliant week and can't wait to get back on the water before the final selector event for the youth squad at Rutland in 2 weeks time!!
