Depending on age there are two main bodies in UK sailing and both work closely together to offer world reknown training and certificates for all levels of sailing.

NSSA - National School Sailing Association
The primary aim of the NSSA is promoting sailing as part of the educational experience of young people. The National School Sailing Association was set up in 1961 by a group of school teachers who recognised the value that sailing offered youngsters as part of their wider development.

RYA - Royal Yachting Association
The RYA is the national body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.
