Description

PROtect Chafe tapes are pressure sensitive using UHMWPE film with an aggresive acrylic adhesive. The result is a very tough material, with the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic presently made.

It has extremely low coefficent of friction, is self lubricating and highly resistant to abrasion (15 x more resistant to abrasion than carbon steel).

Dragging lines and ropes over the deck
Mast and spreaders
Under the boom to protect from spinnaker and gennaker sheets
Pads on the deck for blocks and other hardware
