The Karver KF Furler 3:1 Friction Sheave with Captive and Fast Pin makes it possible to easily set up its sail and free flying sail furler on a bowsprit. For sails using the Karver furling lock, it will be used to take the tension of the luff.

The Karver Furler 2:1 removable block is designed to easily set up it's free flying sail furler on a bowsprit, and/or half the loads when taking the tension of the luff.

The Karver KTS (Karver Tack Swivel) is a top down adaptor that enables you to convert a bottom-up furler into a top-down unit. The KTS can also remain on the sail to be easily plugged in or stored, which is another major benefit. The furler can then remain on the bow to be used for other sails, or be stored.

Karver's quick release and captive pin mechanism makes it easy and safe to operate the swap in and out.

External halyard lock (installed with a lashing on the fore of the mast) dedicated to front sails being furled with a continuous line furler (staysail, code sails, asym, etc). Using a KFH makes it possible to no longer have the halyard under load at all time. The lock eliminate the inconvenient of the halyards stretching. For the past 10 years, the KFH furling lock has been the most optimized lock on the market. 80% of the Imoca fleet is using it!

Features:

• Safety - Once locked the halyard is no longer under tension. The compression in the mast is halved and halyard wear is minimised.
• Lightweight - The luff is pulled from the bottom of the drum with a block, eliminating the need for a 2:1 halyard set up. It is also possible to use a smaller and lighter halyard as it carries only the weight of the sail.
• Simplicity - Once unlocked only the lighest part of the mechanism stays on the top of the mast, the furling lock is on deck leaving no moving parts aloft, making it easy to maintain.  
• KFH8 and KFH12 now only available - other ranges have been discontinued by Karver

Examples:

Code Sails or Light Genoa - As most standard sailing yachts do not include a mast equipped with a 2:1 halyard purchase for foresails, it is easier to have a powerful code sail or light genoa using an accurate setting.

Staysail - A better solution than a fixed furler. The sail can be furled and easily stored, leaving the foredeck uncluttered and the genoa free to tack. Upwind performance is unaffected.
